Automatic Driving Lessons and Intensive Courses
On your first driving lesson you will be required to produce a current and valid driving licence.
You will also be required to read a number plate of a vehicle from a distance of 20 metres.
You must inform the driving instructor of any changes to your driving licence i.e. driving convictions or change in medical condition
If you require glasses to read a number plate from a distance of 20 metres then you must wear them on all driving lessons and driving test.
All driving lessons will be on a one to one basis for a minimum of one hour.
If a pupil wilfully breaks the law the instructor cannot be held responsible for the driver and any fines incurred will be the responsibility of the pupil. The instructor will be take all necessary precautions to prevent any incident from happening.
Wilful damage caused to the driving school car during a lesson or on driving test will be charged to the pupil.
To continue with your driving lessons it is agreed that you have read and agreed to the terms of business of Driving Ambition (Nantwich).
Price of Automatic lessons
The cost of a one hour driving lesson using the Driving School car is £42.00.
All lessons including assessment and intensive courses must be paid for in full prior to or on the day of the lesson.
Use of the Driving School car for the practical driving test.
The cost of using the driving school car for the practical driving test, pre test practice and drive home is £42 per hour. The cost of using the driving school car for the practical driving test, pre test practice and drive home is included in the price of the intensive course. The Driving Instructor will occasionally accompany the pupil on the test, he will be seated in the rear of the car for the duration of the test
When the Practical Driving Test is completed, the Driving Instructor will drive the pupil home or to pre-agreed destination.
If the Driving Instructor has booked and paid for the Practical Driving Test for the pupil, the amount due must be paid for on or before the day of the test. If, on arriving at the test centre, the Practical Driving Test is cancelled at short notice as a result of factors outside of our control the cost of the lesson will still be charged.
Cancellation of Automatic Driving Lessons and Intensive Courses
If a pupil cancels a driving lesson or an intensive driving course they must give 24 hours notice. The deposit paid for the intensive driving course is a non refunable deposit as the instructor cannot fill the planned course period at short notice.

Procedure of complaints
In the event of a complaint the pupil should in the first instance take the matter to the Driving Instructor who will deal the matter immediately. If the matter is not finalised the pupil may take the complaint to the Driving & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Registrar of Approved Driving Instructors who will consider the matter and advise accordingly.
Code of Practice
A Voluntary Code of Practice has been agreed between DVSA and the main bodies representing Approved Driving Instructors.
The code is focused on professional standards and business ethics of driving instructors

All DIA members listed in Find a Driving Instructor have agreed to abide by the above code.
